Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Gerd Hübscher

Gerd Hübscher is managing partner at Hübscher & Partner Patentanwälte and a professional representative before the European Patent Office, the Austrian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. He advises clients on all aspects of patent, trade mark and design law, in particular in the field of electronics, information, communication, measurement and control technology and software-implemented inventions. In addition to handling patent grant, opposition and nullity proceedings, he focuses on advising on the strategic development of IP portfolios, including the prosecution of trade mark and design applications. In 2019, Gerd Hübscher founded the ip.courses training platform in partnership in order to give beginners as well as professionals an understanding of the specific field of intellectual property law in a professionally sound and systematic manner. In addition to this teaching activity, Gerd Hübscher is a university lecturer for intellectual property law and volunteers in the legal committee of the Austrian Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

Gerd Hübscher studied electrical and communications engineering at the Graz University of Technology as well as application-oriented knowledge processing at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and worked for several years as an entrepreneur on real-time information and knowledge management systems. He has been active in the field of intellectual property since 2010.
